Chase Hakes was born and raised in western Montana on the Flathead Reservation. As a Queer Montanan who grew up as a non-indigenous person on the Flathead Reservation, Chase has always been very passionate and outspoken about things impacting the 2SLGBTQIA Community and BIPOC Communities. He looks forward to utilizing his lived experience in a way that may help impact real change for Montanans.
Throughout his professional career, Chase has always found himself centered around providing support to those around him. Whether its his experience in human resources, or in retail management, Chase brings a keen perspective of what it means to be more than just an operator in an organization. He continuously works for ways to encourage people to show up as their authentic self as he believes that in the crossroads of personal authenticity, experience (professional and lived), and collaboration, true and meaningful change can occur.
In his free time Chase can be found practicing performance art, costuming, spending time with his friends and family, and dancing.
