Fairness for All Families Rally
Saturday, June 7 1-3 p.m. St. Andrew Presbyterian Church 180 24th St. West Billings
Show your support for fairness, dignity and security for all. Face painting, kite flying, hula hooping and sign making to support the Billings Nondiscrimination Ordinance. Let’s show the Billings City Council that we won’t let them drop this issue. Everyone deserves dignity, respect and protection from discrimination.
Billings Nondiscrimination Ordinance Hearing
June 9 6:30 p.m. Billings City Hall 220 N. 27th Street Billings
The Billings Nondiscrimination Ordinance (NDO) is in jeopardy. Council members recently voted to indefinitely table it. We need to change their minds. This important policy would protect LGBT people in Billings from discrimination in housing, employment, and public accommodations based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Supporters of equality for all in Billings need to continue speaking out for the values that are driving this ordinance.
Please be mindful of the three minute timer in front of you. Share why the ordinance is important to you and your family. We recommend writing your testimony in advance and bringing a couple copies with you.
Also, please consider taking one or more of the following actions to help move our campaign toward victory:
- Sign the petition supporting a Billings that is free from discrimination.
- Contact members of the City Council in support of nondiscrimination protections.
- Attend the rally on June 7.
