Michelle Cares has been with the ACLU of Montana since 2015. She is a graduate of the University of Montana. She is a white-bodied, cis woman from Washington state. She grew up the only-child of a single mother with a justice system-involved father. The systemic work of the ACLU of Montana is incredibly important to her given her upbringing and career experiences working for safety-net service organizations.
Michelle is a parent, a former city council member, the co-founder of a book club, an avid birder, and a team sports enthusiast.
